The Opening Gala Concert of the upcoming Cross Currents Chamber Music and Arts Festival featuring the Brussels Chamber Orchestra will be played at the Meymandi Theatre at the Murphey School. The Gala, to benefit the Cross Currents Chamber Music and Arts Festival will be an evening of classical music, champage and chocolate.
The Brussels Chamber Orchestra is thrilled to be playing in this outstanding new facility. If you haven’t been to the theatre yet this will be a wonderful time to experience this unique venue. The Brussels Chamber Orchestra will be performing the Vivaldi Four Seasons with Nana Kawamura as violin soloist. The Brussels Chamber Orchestra (www.brusselschamberorchestra.com) is one of the most exciting young orchestras in Europe.
Composed of 12 virtuoso musicians from six different countries, the Brussels Chamber Orchestra has played all over the world, most recently in Norway, Italy, Spain, Mexico, France, Belgium and the US. Their US debut in Raleigh, last summer, was received with great enthusiasm and critically acclaimed.

(Tickets are limited, early reservations are encouraged.) Please make checks payable to Friends of the Brussels Chamber Orchestra. The Friends is a 501(c)(3), and 50% of the ticket price is tax deductible. Ticket stubs from the Gala can be used for free entry to Music Day at Marbles, July 11th at the Marbles Kids Museum (one ticket per each entry). Cost: $50
