Come explore the museum’s newest exhibit, The [R]evolution of Media: The history of newspaper, radio, and television in Raleigh on a guided tour and afterwards you will have the opportunity to put “your two cents in” when you “Have your say!” about the exhibit. Today’s media challenges and changes dramatically affect our lives and the city of Raleigh, and we want to know what’s on your mind! Become a part of history as we record your thoughts and add them to our oral history collection.
During the tour you will engage in the past and learn about the evolution of the three media mediums in Raleigh. Exciting events such as the battle for Channel 5 and the newspaper rivalries are just two examples of the rich and entertaining stories you will hear on the tour. This tour will last approximately forty-five minutes after which you can have your “Have your say!” Both the guided tour and “Have your say!” are free and open to the public.
