On Saturday, November 15 and Sunday, November 16 the Burning Coal and the Raleigh City Museum will host their first collaboration, Main Street/Fayetteville Street, a roving site play. The production, scripted by Oakwood writer Ian Finley, featuring actors from Burning Coal Theatre Company, will visit sites along Fayetteville Street, breathing life into the tales of the street. Stories include Thomas Briggs’ buried gold, Raleigh’s “crime of the century,” President Andrew Johnson’s childhood, and many more. The promenade performance begins at the Raleigh City Museum and will travel along Fayetteville Street.
