North Carolina Veterans Day Parade

Location: Downtown Raleigh
Date: Saturday November 8th, 2008
Time: Parade (9:30 am); Ceremony (11 am)
Visit downtown Raleigh on Saturday, November 8 to salute our Veterans. The parade will begin at 9:30 am on Saturday morning and will be followed by a formal ceremony at the Capitol at 11 am.
The Enloe Ensemble will play between the parade and the ceremony.

Associated Street Closures:
The parade will begin assembling at 8 am along Salisbury Street between Edenton and Davie Streets. At approximately 9:15 am the parade will begin at the intersection of Davie and Fayetteville Streets. The group will proceed north on Fayetteville to Morgan Street, west on Morgan to Salisbury Street, north on Salisbury to Edenton Street, east on Edenton to Wilmington Street where the parade will disassemble at the Capitol Grounds.
The following streets will be closed from 8 am until the conclusion of the parade:Wilmington Street between Morgan and Jones Streets; Edenton Street between Salisbury and Blount Streets; Salisbury Street between Edenton and Cabarrus Streets; Morgan, Hargett, Martin, and Davie Streets from Wilmington to McDowell Streets; Fayetteville Street from Davie to the dead-end. Wilmington Street will remain open except for the two blocks mentioned above.
